About Maine Air

Maine Air Construction is a full service Design-Build-Maintain Engineering company offering a broad range of services to residential, commercial, industrial, as well as marine customers.

In 1974, Maine Air Conditioning was founded in the state of Maine.  At the end of 1994, Maine Air Conditioning merged with W.H. Demmons, and now operates as one of its three divisions under W.H. Demmons, Inc.

Since 1986, Douglas W. Martin, President of W.H. Demmons, Inc., has broadened Demmons Air Construction services.  Maine Air Construction offers ‘state of the art’ services to commercial, industrial, and select residential customers.  We are known primarily as a  ‘Design/Build/Maintain’ Engineering company, but we also do work with some select ‘Plan and Spec’ projects.  Demmons Air Construction not only covers the Greater Portland Area, but also travels as far south as Portsmouth, N.H.; as far west as Conway, N.H.; and as far north as Waterville, Maine.

Working in conjunction with Maine Air Construction, Maine Air Service offers Preventive Maintenance programs as well as Emergency Service for all aspects of heating and cooling systems. Additionally, Maine Air Service offers sales and installation services for replacement of or additions to existing equipment.

Both divisions offer installation of HVAC systems including water source heat pumps, refrigeration systems, chillers, boiler rooms, computer rooms, hydronic piping, controls, air distribution systems, oil piping, gas piping, and air and water balancing.
